More recent versions of this are now available at Thorsten's Web Site -- Thunderstone Audio

Requires: MS Excel Version 5 or higher. Thorsten Loesch

Capabilities:

  • Calculates the T/S Parameter derived Sensitivity in db/2.83V/m for the 20Hz - 1kHz range for four individual Driver/Box combinations, including systems with two woofers and isobarik systems
  • Calculates influence of boundary loading effects
  • Calculates influence of Baffle Diffraction loss

New or updated Items:

  • More accurate calculation of Boundary reinforcement
  • Baffle Diffraction loss calaculation now includes a 4db Step instead of a 6db one
  • Sensitivity calaculation problem for Isobarik Systems corrected
  • Baffle-Loss and Boundary effects now individual for each modelled driver

Limitations:

  • Maximum number of Drivers per plot - 2 - these will be assumed parallel
  • No inclusion of DVC woofers with individual Coils (must be modeled with coils in parallel or series)
  • No calculation of room-modes and their excitation by Speaker-positioning with respect to wall
